Today, in lieu of Screen Shot Sunday (which is totally going to take off, I swear,) I'm posting the cover of my new novel, Antipodes, which publishes Tuesday April 3rd, 2018.

That night, we'll have a party (and cake, of course) at Secret Garden Books in Ballard. Come join us!

Antipodes is a slice-of-life story about ambitious 17-year-old Erin Cerise, whose carefully plotted life suddenly implodes just before her 17th birthday. To rescue her flagging Ivy League prospects, Erin is forced to study abroad on New Zealand’s gorgeous South Island. What began as a social exile becomes much more as Erin experiences cultural clashes and tremendous personal growth through competitive swimming, music, friendship, and--of course--love.

I always believe that Michelle Bacon is a great author, and there's no doubt that rookie authors should idolize her. Talking about the new cover of the book she recently came up, I just hope that the cover represents the book and its message. I don't mind if the cover is very impressive or just enough, as long as the book is going to feed my mind as well as my soul. Books are made to feed our soul through words, isn't it? But so far, I love the cover Michelle has selected! I am looking forward to meet her someday.

The opposite scenario can also occur, wherein our energy can cause the body to move. Your brain thinks of a movement, and the energy of that thought activates your nerves and muscles, causing your body to move. It can also be subconscious, where a nervous energy can cause you to shake or tremble. It’s something that we all take for granted, but it is truly amazing.

I blog rarely, because I'm busy writing books. When I do blog, I focus on writing, friendship, family, and books. Because my family's best nicknames are private, I use their birth years for shorthand:
    1977: my partner
    2008: my first daughter
    2010: daughter #2

    2013: the final daught
